Jim Gosger

Jim Gosger played Major League Baseball from 1963 to 1974 for the Boston Red Sox, Kansas City Athletics, Seattle Pilots, New York Mets, and Montreal Expos. This lefty outfielder and first baseman was known for his line-drive hits and strong throwing arm. Gosger played for both the 1969 and 1973 National League Champion Mets. In Jim Bouton’s book Ball Four, Gosger gained notoriety for muttering the words, “Yeah, sure.”
